GMI have joined forces with Miller Developments to promote the development of a residential scheme delivering 600 plus new homes in a highly sustainable location close to the new East Leeds Orbital Relief Road and Thorpe Park, with its retail and employment offer alongside a proposed new train station. The developers are seeking to create four distinct neighbourhoods each centred around a focal landscaped open space.  This will enable delivery of a truly mixed tenure scheme, incorporating Single Family Housing Rental, Senior Living and Open Market housing. 35% of the development will be dedicated to affordable homes. In addition, there will be a central community hub to complement the existing provision within Scholes as well as a new public park and green links to existing village amenities. Leeds City Council are currently updating their local plan and GMI Miller are working with the city to promote the site following its previous release from the Green Belt and current designation as safeguarded land suitable for development.
